MARQUETTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Starting with the week of October 4, 2013, we began a new program honoring Mrs. Ohlman, who was the principal of Marquette Elementary School during 1966-1985. One student in our school is chosen to be “Student of the Week”. The student is chosen by their teacher. Each week, a different class and grade has the honor of selecting one student. The student will have their picture taken and placed in the plaque in the front foyer.

	We are so excited that Brylee was chosen as our next "Golden Rule Student of the Week"! Here's what Ms. Sanders had to say about her... This week’s Student of the Week is a girl from Ms. Sanders’ 2nd grade class who always works hard and tries her best every day. She is kind to her classmates, respectful to everyone around her, and always willing to help others when they need it. She comes to school with a positive attitude and a smile on her face, helping make our classroom a happy place to learn and grow. We are so proud of this student for being such a wonderful friend and role model. Congratulations to Brylee!
	We are so excited that Cole was chosen as our next "Golden Rule Student of the Week"! Here is what Mrs. Schlottman had to say about him... This student is a professional at the 3 Rs. They are always respectful, responsible, and ready to learn. They always try their best and they have grown so much this school year! This friend always has the best hallway manners and can keep a bubble in their mouth the ENTIRE time. This boy is usually serious but he can be silly like his favorite character Spongebob and get into some nautical nonsense! Congratulations, Cole, you are student of the week!
	We are so excited that Charlotte was chosen as our next "Golden Rule Student of the Week"! Here is what Mrs. Jones and Miss M had to say about her... "This week's Student of the Week comes from Mrs. Jones’ and Miss. M’s Kindergarten classroom. This student is a girl who consistently goes above and beyond to make our classroom a positive and welcoming place. She is always willing to help her friends, and she does it with a smile on her face. She listens carefully to instructions and takes her time to ensure her work-especially her coloring- looks amazing. She is thoughtful and inclusive, making sure no one ever feels left out. Most of all, she brings joy to those around her and puts a smile on everyone’s face each and every day. Congratulations to Charlotte for being this week's Student of the Week!"
	We are so excited that Xavier was chosen as our next "Golden Rule Student of the Week"! Here is what Miss Look had to say about him... We are so very excited that we are able to celebrate a member of our class family! This kiddo works hard each and every day. He understands that even if he makes mistakes, he can fix them and that's how we grow and learn. This quarter, we are focused on kindness and this boy sprinkles kindness everywhere he goes! He speaks kindly to others and uses his manners by saying please and thank you. He makes sure to say hi or good morning every morning to me and bye or have a great day at the end. He LOVES to participate and has been a math superstar. He has been doing such a great job this year, and we are so lucky to have him in our class! Xavier you are our student of the week!
