MARQUETTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Starting with the week of October 4, 2013, we began a new program honoring Mrs. Ohlman, who was the principal of Marquette Elementary School during 1966-1985.  One student in our school is chosen to be “Student of the Week”.  The student is chosen by their teacher. Each week, a different class and grade has the honor of selecting one student.  The student will have their picture taken and placed in the plaque in the front foyer.

We are so excited that Zoey was chosen as our next "Golden Rule Student of the Week"! Here is what Mrs. Clark had to say about her...

I'm so excited to get to choose a student of the week! This was a really hard choice for Ms. Tina and me.  We have chosen a girl that shows these qualities.

Z is for ZOOMY when she is doing her work and dancing.

O is for OUTGOING. She is friendly to everyone.

E is for EAGER. She is eager to learn and be helpful.

Y is for YAHOO! That's what I say when I announce that Zoey is the student of the week!

We are so excited that Norah was chosen as our next "Golden Rule Student of the Week"! Here is what Miss Look had to say about her...

I can’t believe it is my time again to pick another friend for Student of the Week. This student is always prepared for the day and eager to learn. She consistently shows kindness and respect and has been a great addition to our classroom family. Norah is our choice for student of the week.

We are so excited that Jackson was chosen as our next "Golden Rule Student of the Week"! Here is what Mrs. Heaton had to say...

I absolutely love when it is my turn to choose a student from my class to be the Student of the Week.  It wasn't easy this time because I have a lot of students that model how a Marquette Tiger should act.

The boy that I chose has made great strides in both his behavior and schoolwork, and it's been wonderful to see.  He is learning how to make positive choices, stay focused, and put more effort into his learning each day.  His growing confidence shows as he participates more, completes his work with pride, and handles challenges with a better attitude.  He has become a great helper with our kindergarten friends.  Jackson is the student I am choosing to be the Student of the Week.

Jackson, I am so proud of you!  I look forward to watching you continue to shine!

We are so excited that Dominic was chosen as our next "Golden Rule Student of the Week"! Here is what Miss Malin had to say about him...

This person has made a lot of growth so far this school year.

They have really stepped up to be a leader with their classmates and are always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone.

They have turned into a reading machine and doubled their reading goal both quarters.

They are always volunteering in class too.

I am so proud to announce that my pick for student of the week is none other than Mr. Six 7 himself................DOMINIC!!!
