Starting with the week of October 4, 2013, we began a new program honoring Mrs. Ohlman, who was the principal of Marquette Elementary School during 1966-1985.  One student in our school is chosen to be “Student of the Week”.  The student is chosen by their teacher. Each week, a different class and grade has the honor of selecting one student.  The student will have their picture taken and placed in the plaque in the front foyer.

Aiden was chosen as the "Golden Rule Student of the Week" for October 15-19, 2018.
This is what Miss Look had to say about Aiden:

In our classroom, we have been talking about how we can sprinkle kindness every day and this boy does just that.  He uses kind words.  He is patient with others and is a good teammate.  He shows respect to others by listening when they are talking and using those special words like please and thank you. He takes turns and shares.   Not only does he sprinkle his kindness, but he is also a hard working student. He tries his very best at everything that he does.
Our student of the week is Aiden!

Mason was chosen as the "Golden Rule Student of the Week" for October 9-12, 2018.
This is what Mrs. Patterson had to say about Mason:

He does his very best in class, every single day.

His work is always done, so he has lots of time to play!

He is kind, sweet, helpful, and a pretty cool boy.

He's a great friend and student; it brings me lots of joy.

Lastly I should note, that his attitude's contagious,

and if you haven't heard, Mason's math skills are outrageous!

Congrats Mason, you are the student of the week.

Remmy was chosen as the "Golden Rule Student of the Week" for October 1-5, 2018.
This is what Mrs. Jones had to say about him:

Boy oh boy am I one lucky teacher to have this sweet, funny and smart boy in my class this year. He is such a big helper to Miss Lisa and me! He loves to help us with anything we ask him to do and is a great friend to his peers. He also is great at being a wonderful example of showing everyone that he is always ready to learn! He works so hard each and every day at school and always puts forth his best effort on everything he does in class. A big congratulations goes to Remmy!

Kylee was chosen as the "Golden Rule Student of the Week" for September 24-28, 2018.
This is what Mrs. Keck had to say about Kylee:

Wow, with so many amazing students in my class it is SO hard to pick!  But here it goes!  This student tries really hard to do her best.  I have already seen her make improvement in her school work, be kind making new friends, turn her work in on time, raise her hand for permission to speak, and work well with others.  She has a great attitude even when things don't go her way.  She tries her best to be respectful, responsible, and ready to learn.

I am SO glad that she came to Marquette.  Our student of the week is Kylee.
