MARQUETTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Starting with the week of October 4, 2013, we began a new program honoring Mrs. Ohlman, who was the principal of Marquette Elementary School during 1966-1985.  One student in our school is chosen to be “Student of the Week”.  The student is chosen by their teacher. Each week, a different class and grade has the honor of selecting one student.  The student will have their picture taken and placed in the plaque in the front foyer.

Catherine was chosen as the "Golden Rule Student of the Week" for February 20-23, 2018.  This is what Mrs. Keck had to say about Catherine:

Picking one student of the week is hard when you have so many awesome students, but here it goes.  This student of week has such a kind heart.  She tries to hard to make some one else's day a little brighter.  If there is something that she finds difficult to do she is not afraid to raise her hand and ask questions. She tries to help others when they need it.   She even writes people encouraging notes on a regular basis.  Her sweet smile lights up our room.   She tries hard to responsible, respectful, and ready to learn.  Our student of the week is;  Catherine

Olivia was chosen as the "Golden Rule Student of the Week" for February 5-9, 2018.
This is what Mrs. Patterson had to say about Olivia:

Our student of the week is a “joy” to have in class,
which is fitting, because joy is her middle name.
She always thinks of others and tries her very best.
She is a hard working student and a great friend.
She is sweet and creative and our class would not be the same without her!

Congratulations Olivia, you are the student of the week!

Alayna was chosen as the "Golden Rule Student of the Week" for January 29 - February 2, 2018.
This is what Miss Look had to say about her:
I feel so lucky to have so many friends in our class who are kind and caring to everyone.  It is hard to choose just one friend for this special honor.  This week we have talked about how we can be bucket fillers and sprinkle kindness wherever we go .  This wonderful girl does just that.  She has a big heart and is always helping those around her.  She comforts friends when they are feeling down and encourages them to do the best they can. She brightens the day with her smile and is always ready for the day ahead.  She loves to learn and tries her very best each day.   She works hard at everything even if something is challenging.  I feel very lucky to be her teacher.  The student of the week is Alayna!
