MARQUETTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Starting with the week of October 4, 2013, we began a new program honoring Mrs. Ohlman, who was the principal of Marquette Elementary School during 1966-1985.  One student in our school is chosen to be “Student of the Week”.  The student is chosen by their teacher. Each week, a different class and grade has the honor of selecting one student.  The student will have their picture taken and placed in the plaque in the front foyer.

Lainey was chosen as the "Golden Rule Student of the Week" for February 18-22, 2019.
This is what Miss Jackson had to say about her:

This is always such a hard decision but one student in particular really is student of the week material. She is always respectful and wanting to help whether it is to help me or her classmates. She has is such a great listener and great at following directions. She has really impressed me with how far she has come in reading and writing this year! She works hard and I have really enjoyed having her in class this year! She really tries hard to get on purple every day! I am so happy to say that Lainey is my student of the week! Congratulations Lainey! You’ve worked so hard this year, I’m proud of you!

Maxlynn was chosen as the "Golden Rule Student of the Week" for February 11-15, 2019.
This is what Mrs. Clark had to say about her:

I am so excited to tell you about my student of the week!!  This girl has really worked hard in Kindergarten this year!  All of her work is beautiful.  She tries hard at everything she does.  She is a  good friend to everyone and also loves to help! Seeing her smile every day makes me happy.   I am so glad that I have gotten to have this girl in my class this year!  Congratulations Maxlynn, you are the student of the week!!!

Kyler was chosen as the "Golden Rule Student of the Week" for February 4-8, 2019.

This is what Mrs. Goeken had to say about Kyler:
Well you guys, it’s that time of the week when you get to hear who the next week’s Student of the Week will be—so, this second grader has become incredibly responsible with his behavior, is very respectful to his friends and his teachers plus he is ready, set, go every day. This boy has been on fire for the last few months so we would like to congratulate Kyler!
Keep up the excellent effort my friend!!

Troy was chosen as the "Golden Rule Student of the Week" for January 28 - February 1, 2019.
This is what Miss Getka had to say about Troy:

Wow this boy has blown me away with the amount of progress he has made since the beginning of the year! This student tries so hard at school and does his very best. He doesn’t get discouraged, even when things get hard. Every student in the class has wonderful things to say about him, and he is such a kind boy who is a friend to everyone. His quiet sense of humor never fails to make people laugh. In the classroom he is always respectful, responsible, and ready to learn. I am SO excited to announce that Troy is this week’s student of the week.
Congratulations Troy, I’m proud of you buddy!
