APPOINTMENTS FOR ENERGY ASSISTANCE WILL BE SCHEDULED BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2018 FOR SENIORS AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
Tazwood Community Services, Inc. will be seeking seniors and people with disabilities, in Tazewell and Woodford Counties, for the 2019 Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). In cooperation with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, LIHEAP offers help with heating bills for qualifying low-income households.
Monday October 1, 2018 is the day to call and schedule an appointment if someone in the home is age 60 or disabled.
Monday November 5, 2018 is the day to call and schedule an appointment if you have a child in the home under age 6, or a household that has been disconnected from the energy supplier.
Monday December 3, 2018 is the day to call and schedule an appointment for all other eligible applicants.
