Canned Food Drive

ALL District #102 schools are supporting their community by hosting their annual Canned Food Drives.

Each year District 102 Schools look forward to partnering with the Marquette Heights and North Pekin Fire Departments to collect non-perishable food items. The fire departments use the food to put together baskets for families in our local community.

Each school has their own contests and guidelines.  Below is what RES is doing this year.

Students at Rogers Elementary run a contest to determine the class with the most donations. Each food item donated is worth 1 point, but we also have a bonus food item each day. Bonus items are worth 5 points each.

The bonus items schedule is listed below if you want to plan your shopping ahead of time.
Monday, Dec. 4 - Mac & Cheese Monday, Dec. 11 - Canned soup, stews or chili Tuesday, Dec. 5 - Boxed Potaoes Tuesday, Dec. 12 - Canned Fruit Wednesday, Dec. 6 - Pasta & sauces Wednesday, Dec. 13 - Snacks, crackers, fruit snacks, pretzels Thursday, Dec. 7 - Canned Vegetables Friday, Dec. 8 - Peanut butter or canned meats (tuna, chicken, etc.)
