Red Cross Blood Drive a Success

by Vicky Cluskey

On January 21, 2010 the students of District 102 sponsored a very successful blood drive.  Eighty-four donors came through the Georgetowne Cafeteria doors and 76 units of blood was collected to help the central Illinois Red Cross.  The Georgetowne Volleyball Team hosted the events and provided refreshments for all that came to donate blood.  Mrs. Dubois class at Marquette, Miss Fehl class at Georgetowne, and Mrs. Mason and Mrs. Skinner's classes at Rogers were able to recruit the most donors.  Students who recruited donors will receive their gift from the American Red Cross as soon as they are arrive at the school.  Thank you for everyone that took the time to come donate.
