Boys Baseball is COMING SOON!

Georgetowne Middle School Boys Baseball is coming soon! 

All incoming 6th graders, along with 7th and 8th graders are invited to a boys baseball camp at the end of July. The camp will be run from Tuesday July 28th - Friday July 31st, 2009. Camp time will be 9:30am and will run until 12:00pm each day. The cost of the camp is a mere $50.00. All boys that are interested in trying out for the baseball team is advised to attend camp, but it is certainly not mandatory. At the camp, the kids will get a chance to practice all the skills of baseball, including throwing, hitting, fielding and running the bases properly. You do NOT have to be a student at Georgetowne to attend baseball camp, so invite friends from other schools as well! To register for the baseball camp, please pick up a registration form from the GMS office, or when it's sent home with your son from school. Baseball Tryouts!

Any 6th-8th grade boy interested in trying out for the 2009-2010 baseball team needs to attend try-outs Monday August 3rd, Tuesday August 4th and Wednesday August 5th. Times for the try-outs have been set: August 3rd(3pm), August 4th(10am) and August 5th(10am). Please make arrangements now to get your son to try-outs. All interested boys MUST attend all three days of try-outs as it is anticipated that there will be a lot of interest. ALL boys MUST have a CURRENT physical on file. Please get this checked out before try-outs. If a physical is expired, your son will NOT be allowed to try-out that day. Schedules should be sent home with all incoming 6th, 7th and 8th grade boys in the near future. If you have questions regarding baseball try-outs, please email Coach Knuppel at rknuppel@dist102org.
